Tow and Fert to be on display at Mystery Creek Fieldays 2010
Farmers have needed this product for years, and Metalform’s new Tow and Fert Multi 800 has finally cracked it! The patented Tow and Fert is a multi role machine capable of mixing and spreading fine particle fertiliser, Dissolved urea, Bio Fertiliser and trace elements like Magnesium Oxide etc. This means that farmers are no longer dependant on waiting for contractors turning up with their trucks and helicopters, and enables the optimisation of your fertiliser program with timely, cost effective and regular applications.
Just simply fill it up with water and weigh your product in with the on-board scales and the Tow and Fert Multi 800 will mix the product together using a patented two stage mixer, and continually agitates the mix so it stays in suspension. Once mixed, just tow the Tow and Fert out to your paddock and start spraying.
The Tow and Fert boasts a whopping 14 metre spread width, this means that with a travel speed of 15 km / hr you can cover 1 hectare in under 3 minutes. Designed to be towed behind a 4WD ute or tractor, the Tow and Fert is no toy. With a typical mix volume of 800 litres weighing in at 1100 kgs the tow and fert will be able to carry enough product to spray approximately 4 - 5 hectares.
The brand new Tow and Fert will be on display at the Mystery Creek Field days, so come and see what the hype is all about at site C32.

Southern Hawke’s Bay firm wins Westpac Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce Business Awards top award
A Dannevirke based engineering firm that developed a world acclaimed electric wheel chair has been named the Hawke’s Bay Today Business of the Year. Metalform took out the major award at last night’s Westpac Hawke’s Bay Chamber of Commerce Business Awards at the Hawke’s Bay Opera House. The firm also won the Export Hawke’s Bay Exporter Award and the Pan Pac Forest Products Large Business Award. Convenor of judging Rick Cranswick said Metalform was taking on the world with some amazing technology advances, especially with the ezi-riser wheel chair. He said the business had the ability to operate 24/7 with automated machinery that worked throughout the night. More importantly Mr Cranswick said the business had a strong heart and was aware of its contribution into a small community. “The business is led by a father and son team (Geoff and Campbell Easton) but they had the nous to realise that they are first and foremost designers and that they needed to employ a general manager (Allan Benbow) to assist in running the business. “They have been incredibly successful in the current economic environment. They understand their role in the community and provide great opportunities for staff,” Mr Cranswick said. Hawkes Bay Chamber of Commerce, Oct 2009
