Metalform now has 2 CNC robot welders. One is new RC3L 6-axis robotic welding and plasma cutting system. The other is a 6-axis Motoman UP6 robotic welder. They are designed for volume orders for repeated precision welding and plasma cutting.
The Lincoln RC3L is an automated welding centre with rotary index table capable of accepting 2 tooling frames each up to 2400X1200 with a maximum load capacity of 450kg per side.
The programming is done offline and simulated on-screen to ensure machine continuity and efficiency. Interchanging the head from a welding tip to plasma cutting is done automatically to combine both tools on a single weldment.

The Motoman UP6 is an electronically controlled industrial robot set up with a MIG welding package. It consists of a 350amp welder and welds up to 4 metres per minute. The result is 100% repeatability with a consistent weld bead.
