We are growing and due to increased demand, we need quality people to join our product assembly team. It is an exciting time at Metalform. Our assembly team are people who like to get things done. Everyday they are building some of the best machinery and electronics in the business. The type of work is suited to mechanics and those skilled with their hands. In fact, our team is made up of former mechanics, electronics technicians, and diesel technicians.

 Overview

Our assembly crew work on a wide range of products from firefighting pumps to industry leading farm machinery. As we expand as a business, we are becoming more tech integrated and are looking for people with mechanical backgrounds to join the team. Experience in manufacturing would be a positive benefit however an optimistic collaborative nature is a must.

 Skills and Experience considered advantageous for this role:

 ·         You will be self-motivated and a problem solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks

·         A strong work ethic, reliability, adaptability, and a team player

·         The ability to work in a collaborative, productive team as well as being a self-starter

·         Knowledge and skills involving small engines and machinery

·         Experience with mechanical & tool handling with great attention to detail

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·         Physically fit as heavy lifting is involved.

Additional Desirable Attributes:

  • Forklift operator’s certificate.
  • Electronics experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, typically Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
